February of the year has always been the Arts Month of the Philippines. On that month of each year, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts or better known as NCCA, gives recognitions to Filipino talents who made an exceptional contribution to the country's culture and arts, may it be a major local recognition or an international recognition, the NCCA honors them.
This year, it seems like Sarah Geronimo is again one of the awardees, together with Jed Madela. It can be recalled that last year, in NCCA's Ani Ng Dangal 2013, Sarah Geronimo was awarded a trophy under Multidisciplinary Arts, and was also named the Ambassadress for Music of the Committee. And this year, Sarah is said to receive another award.
While this is Sarah Geronimo's second award, this is going to be Jed Madela's first so he thanked the NCCA thru a Twitter/Instagram post. ☺
The awarding for Ani Ng Dangal 2014 will happen on February 2, 2014 (Sunday) at Newport Performing Arts Theater.
