YES! The word is out! "Sisterakas" is NOT the highest grossing film of all time, ANYMORE! "It Takes A Man And A Woman" steals the crown from Sisterakas with a total local gross of $9,141,744 which is equivalent to 401,688,231.36 pesos. Sisterakas stars Vice Ganda, Aiai delas Alas and Kris Aquino while ITAMAAW stars Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz.
Take note, Sisterakas was a Metro Manila Film Festival entry which means that it did not have to compete with other international movies. As for It Takes A Man And A Woman, it was released on a Black Saturday, without a Premiere Night, and it had to compete with the international films, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Iron Man 3, The Croods, and Oz The Great and Powerful. But ITAMAAW did not falter. It surpassed the 400M pesos gross mark for a local film. The first to reach such mark! :)
