CEBUANO actor Matteo Guidicelli is determined to keep the details of his alleged romance with Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo secret.
During the recent press conference of "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition," the 24-year-old actor had a hard time answering questions regarding the singer, saying that it wasn’t the right time to talk about the issue.
Matteo, however, told the press that the singer is very special to him.
"Gusto ko talaga sabihin pero I don’t think it’s the right time. I wanna respect whatever Sarah and I have. I wanna respect her family and my family. One day po," he said.
Matteo added that when the time comes that he's okay to discuss the matter to the public, he will not hide anything.
"Gusto ko lang malinaw ang lahat. Gusto ko lang clean ang lahat. I don’t want to disrespect anybody. Basta in the right time, we’ll say. I don’t want to hide anything. I want to be honest naman with you guys," he said. "I have to respect her side and my side. Basta may mga reasons kami na I can't say. Basta one day, everything will."
Matteo, who had a brief romance with actress Maja Salvador, was vocal of his admiration to Sarah. The actor even said in his early days in the show business that the singer is his ultimate crush.
When asked about what it was like to date someone who he admires for a long time, the actor said that it pays to work hard and wait.
"Siyempre in life, if you work hard on something that you really want, in the end if you get, it feels really nice. People who wait and work hard for something, good things happen, di ba? Everything in life happens for a reason," he said.
Asked for his comment about Sarah's strict parents, Matteo said that Delfin and Divina Geronimo only want what's best for their daughter.
"They’re like regular parents who love their daughter very much. I can't speak for her (Sarah's mom) po. Kasi everyone has their own reason why they’re protective. My mom is protective over me also," he said.
He added that the family's opinion is important in any relationship.
"It's very, very important to have the approval of your family to the person you love. If you love somebody, you just don’t love the person but the whole family. Siyempre, whoever I will be with, I like my parents to love her also," Matteo said.
When asked if his parents are in favor of Sarah and if he has already introduced her to them, he replied: "Everybody knows naman that Sarah is a wonderful person. Hindi pa. In the future, let's see...."
